"Lake access, but what really made this place stand out (and kind of surprised us) is the magical back yard. Several little copses of trees, a bubbling stream with a bridge, lush ferns, and a kid-sized tipi. Wished my teenagers were a tiny bit younger, we never would have gotten them to come inside. Also a well-made fire-pit stocked with wood where we enjoyed s’mores.
Cottage is charming and as advertised, with places to gather but also to spread out and relax. Clean, quiet, and close to everything we wanted to do and see. Recommend, would stay here again." Jennifer, Grand Rapids, Michigan
"The Caretakers Cottage has a rustic and cozy cabin feel. It has a mix of original Northern Michigan charm and modern comfort. It is well cared for, clean and thoughtfully updated. The bedroom decor and linens are perfect touches to this charming lake cottage. The lake is beautiful and just across from the house! The owner has beach chairs that you can take to the lake and watch the sunset. The deck off the dining room is very nice. We sat outside and enjoyed morning coffee and evening ambience. There is also a firepit that we enjoyed the last night. It was a perfect way to unplug, relax and catch a sunset. We had fun exploring nearby adventures like Sleeping Bear Dunes, Glen Arbor and Frankfort. We also had nice evenings just down the road at St. Ambrose Cellar and Tipsy Canoe. It truly was a lovely getaway. We will definitely be back!!" Judy, Dayton, Ohio
